Join As A Veteran City Guide
~3-4 Hours/day • Thursday Weekly Off • Active Cities, India
Mandatory Eligibility
- 5+ Years City Experience: Must have worked or lived in your chosen city for a minimum of 5 years with deep geographical and cultural awareness.
- Passion for Curation: A genuine love for explaining data, listing parameters, and comparing local infrastructures.
Ideal Candidate Traits
- Loves Explaining Things: Can write comprehensive, simple explanations for school grids, bus loops, or historic landmarks.
- Two-Wheeler Required: Must own and be comfortable driving a bike/scooter. Cars are strictly not allowed for this field role.
Role Overview
At TopCity, we skip the spam. Rather than using automatic crawlers or paid ads, we hire seasoned locals who verify listings and tell the real story of the neighborhood. As a Veteran City Guide, you will own the database curation and local guide writing for your city, serving as the ultimate curator of local choice.
Key Responsibilities
Gather, structure, and verify local data points for schools, colleges, public libraries, hospitals, and major attractions.
Draft analytical, engaging comparisons of school curriculum grids, hospital specialties, metro guides, and city historic trails.
Call and audit contact coordinates, ensuring zero fake duplicates or marketing call leaks for our users.
Work with local resident welfare groups and parents to update listings based on public reviews and fee changes.
Salary & Allowances
- ₹46,000+ / Month In-HandExcluding food, petrol, and bike service allowances
- Petrol Reimbursement₹5 per km for all official bike mileage driven (car not allowed)
- Daily Food Allowance₹225 per day on field duty
- Bike Service SupportRegular service charge reimbursements to maintain your vehicle
- Flexible Schedule~3-4 Hours per day • Thursday weekly holiday
Interview Process
1. Resume Review: Checking city residency details and sample guide writing.
2. Practical Audit Task: Curate and explain a list of 5 mock local places in your city.

Role Overview
We are seeking a sharp, data-literate Content Writer & Manager who can take raw local coordinates and shape them into highly engaging expert guides. You will own the content narrative, write directory articles, and manage the publishing workflow for local Veteran City Guides.
Key Responsibilities
- Research, write, and format 3-4 local guide articles weekly about Indian cities, coordinates, schools, and directories.
- Review, edit, and fact-check listing submissions sent by our local Veteran City Guides.
- Align content structure and fact accuracy to match TopCity's zero-spam high-quality editorial threshold.
Required Skills & Fit
- 2-3 years of professional copywriting, editing, or digital blogging experience.
- Deep familiarity with Indian local landscapes, schools, directories, and cultural nuances.
- Excellent visual layout styling, strong grammar, and basic SEO formatting principles.
Interview Process
1. Portfolio & Resume Review: Evaluating writing style, grammar, and layout formatting.
2. Practical Content Task: Writing a 600-word sample guide about local destinations in any city.
3. Final Interview Call: Discussing local data narration, remote content manager coordination, and ethics.
